About Radiate
Radiate is a San Diego–based real estate media company providing high-quality photography, videography, drone, 3D tours, floor plans, and marketing assets for residential and luxury properties throughout San Diego County. We focus on consistency, reliability, and delivering polished media with fast turnaround times.
Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for capturing a variety of real estate media content for properties across San Diego County. While your primary focus may be photography or videography, your work will include capturing high-quality photos, videos, drone footage, 3D tours, floor plans, and more.
Most days will involve shooting properties in the field. During slower periods or limited-shoot days, you may assist with editing projects, learn new shooting techniques, organize media, and contribute to internal initiatives that support Radiate’s growth.
This is a physically demanding role that requires flexibility and consistency. Some days you’ll be shooting high-end coastal or luxury homes under ideal conditions. On other days, you may need to navigate tight condo complexes, smaller units, or challenging access. Regardless of the project, we expect professionalism, reliability, and pride in your work.
Gear & Experience
Radiate can provide professional camera gear if needed. Owning your own gear and having prior real estate media experience are strong plus and may impact scheduling opportunities and compensation.
5 Main Job Responsibilities
Become highly skilled in real estate photography and videography, consistently looking for ways to improve your craft
Shoot approximately 1-3 properties per day, upload all files on time, and remain flexible with changing schedules, locations, and weather
Deliver excellent on-site customer interactions by being friendly, professional, and easy to work with at every shoot
Take care of all equipment and ensure gear is prepped, organized, and ready before each shoot
Be available to assist with tasks, editing, training, or internal projects when not actively shooting properties
Compensation
Hourly pay varies based on experience and services provided:
Hourly Rates (hours at a shoot)
$55/hr once photo-certified
$65/hr once video-certified
$100/hr for twilight shoots
$20/hr for team meetings or training
$0.70/mi mileage reimbursement for work-related travel in a personal vehicle
Hours & Scheduling
Availability of 10–20 hours per week is requested; greater availability is strongly preferred
Weekly hours vary based on demand—some weeks may be light or have no shoots, while others may be busier
Team members with broader availability are prioritized when scheduling shoots
You control your schedule by blocking off unavailable times and selecting preferred working days
Shoots are primarily scheduled on weekdays, with occasional flexibility as needed
Requirements
Prior experience in photography and or videography with a portfolio required
Real estate media experience is a plus, but not required
Experience flying DJI drones with FAA Part 107 required for drone work
Reliable transportation throughout San Diego County
Reliable laptop and stable internet connection for file uploads, communication and workflow management
Strong attention to detail and time management
Clear communication and professional demeanor
What It’s Like to Work at Radiate
Radiate is built on trust, responsibility, and high standards.
We’re looking for people who take ownership of their work, care about the client experience, and show up prepared. This role is not about shortcuts or doing the bare minimum. It is about doing things the right way and taking pride in the outcome.
Customer service matters here. How you communicate, how you present yourself, and how you handle details on site are just as important as the quality of the media you deliver. We expect our team to think like owners, solve problems, and take responsibility when something needs to be handled.
The work can be demanding at times. Schedules change, days can be full, and expectations are high. We support each other, rely on clear systems, and value consistency over chaos.
Radiate is a growing company, and opportunities here are earned through reliability, effort, and professionalism. If you care about doing good work, treating people well, and being part of a team that values accountability, you’ll fit in.
