Real Twilight vs. Digital Twilight
Both give a listing that warm evening glow. Here's how they differ, and how to choose the right one for your next shoot.
What's the difference?
Digital twilights are daytime photos edited to look like dusk. We add a sunset sky, adjust the light and warm up the windows. It's quick and cost-effective, with no second appointment.
Real twilights are shot on location just after sunset, as their own appointment. They depend on weather and precise timing, but in our experience the result is far more dramatic. Natural ambiance and real light create a mood that's hard to replicate digitally.

Which looks better?
We prefer real twilight for its authenticity and impact. The natural light and glow at dusk are tough to beat, especially for homes with pools, patios, fire pits or landscape lighting. Digital twilight is a great option when you're short on time or budget, and it can be added to any daytime shoot.

How is scheduling different?
Digital twilight is made from the daytime photos, so there's no second appointment. Real twilight is its own shoot around sunset, or at sunrise if you prefer. The appointment starts 30 minutes before sunset and takes around an hour to capture the right light and angles. If our schedule allows, we can shoot it right after your daytime appointment.
Which is right for me?
